The most well-known Restaurant -Tavern in the center of Paphos is Menelaos.
In Greek legend Menelus was the son of Atreus, King of Sparta, younger brother of Agamemnon and husband of Helen of Troy. He appears in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey and in Virgil's Aeneid.
It was the kidnapping of his wife by Paris, who had been promised by Venus the most beautiful woman in the world that caused the Troyan War.

He was one of the Greeks who concealed themselves in the wooden horse and conquered Troy and he took Helen back to Sparta after a voyage of eight years.
On his death he was taken to Elysium and later was worshiped as a god.

Fully air-conditioned in a cool environment,
